Films for Change Centre
CFC works in partnership with the Television
Trust for the Environment (TVE) to produce and distribute films
on environment & development issues. CFC’s Films
for Change video resource centre
has over 400 documentaries, docu-dramas, animations, public
service announcements, news reports, and short feature films
which highlight issues such as debt, community development,
biodiversity, children, women, desertification, energy, health
& medicine, indigenous people and land rights, pesticides,
poverty, urban settlements, recycling, water, waste, and wetlands.
Many of these films have won international broadcast awards.
CFC distributes films to Nigerian broadcasters
at cost price, with all broadcast rights cleared. CFC also
has a lending library for private individuals, schools, NGOs,
corporate bodies, and community groups. The centre organises
special film events to entertain and educate key audiences
on environment and development issues.
